Her name is Emily Blunt, and she is rather brilliant.
Emily Olivia Laura Blunt was born on 23 February 1983 in London to a barrister father and a former actress turned teacher mother. It was a respectable beginning, naturellement, the sort of thing that produces articulate young people with excellent posture and opinions on classical music. Yet life had other plans. Between the ages of seven and fourteen, Emily developed a stutter so severe that saying her own name felt like wrestling a recalcitrant creature. By her own admission, the word “Emily” was “like the depths of hell.”
