Founded in 1926 as Ham Common Polo Club, Ham Polo Club celebrates its Centenary Season in 2026, marking 100 years of polo in London. Set across 23 acres beside Richmond Park and historic Ham House, the Club remains London’s last remaining polo club and one of the capital’s most distinctive sporting and social settings.

Today, Ham Polo Club is a members’ club with polo at its heart. Its membership includes playing members, social members and academy members, offering different ways to be part of the Club, whether you are an experienced player, new to the sport or simply looking to enjoy the social side of polo. Through lessons, coaching and the Polo Academy, the Club continues to introduce new players to the game while supporting those developing through the sport.
In its centenary year, Ham Polo Club has also introduced a new all-weather arena, a significant step in the Club’s long-term future. Traditionally, the polo season runs from May to September, but the new arena will help support polo beyond the summer months. Measuring 90 x 32 metres, it is one of the UK’s largest polo arenas, supporting winter polo, regular chukkas, coaching, player development and wider equestrian use.
